My fascination with style—textiles, patterns, and color—began long before my professional journey kicked off in the early 90s. Growing up, my parents constantly shaped their homes, taking a hands-on approach to building and design. Their choices were always innovative, and they undeniably influenced my aesthetic sensibilities.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alaska Anchorage, I spent years honing my visual skills in visual merchandising. From window displays to store layouts and even fashion styling, I thrived in creating captivating visual experiences. My role as Visual Department Manager at Nordstrom in Anchorage was a highlight of this period.
In 2002, fueled by a love for design details ignited by the construction of our custom home, I launched my own interior decorating business. Five years later, I joined forces with my husband, Cary, to establish Red Carrot Design, Inc.
2006, I deepened my design expertise by becoming a certified Feng Shui practitioner. This ancient art of placement, rooted in safety and security, perfectly complements my design passions: fabrics, colors, and a love for creating beautiful yet functional spaces for my clients.
